Separation can be a challenging time for everyone involved and presents a range of
emotional, financial and legal issues. Every family is unique and the separation
experience is different for everybody.

find their way around the Family Law System, better understand their rights and

Caretaker Arrangements
On 19 July 2010 the Australian Government assumed a caretaker role, with an election
to be held on 21 August 2010. Information on Human Services Portfolio websites will
be published in accordance with the Guidance on Caretaker Conventions circulated
by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
